The Shat Gambuj Mosque 

The Shat Gambuj Mosque is a famous for its historical importance. It is our one of greatest mosques in Bangladesh in respect of its spectacular beauty. Saint Ulugh Khan Jahan who first carried the torch of Islam in the south made this magnificent mosque in Bagerhat, district in mid 15th century. This magnificent Monument is located on the eastern bank of a vast a sweet-water tank, clustered around by heavy foliage near the seacoast. The roof of the mosque is supported by 77 squat domes. The Shat Gambuj Mosque is one of the architectural manifestations of Bangladesh. Now it has become main attraction for tourist for its historical magnificence.
